OUR STORY
GOLF FIXX evolved from the ashes of the Carlsbad Golf Studio.
I started with Carlsbad Golf Studio in 2019 as a club builder and repair specialist. A former PGA professional, I have been been building and repairing golf clubs since the early 1970’s.
In 2020 the studio is now called GOLF FIXX. I will be combining Launch Monitor Driven Educated Practice with Tour level club repair, custom club building, and set blueprinting.
We look forward to being here for years to come, bringing a unique blend of Educated Practice, Simulation, Repairing and Blueprinting golf clubs to players from Carlsbad, San Marcos, Oceanside, Vista, Escondido, Encinitas, Del Mar and all points North County.

So I apprenticed with a well known club maker in the Los Angeles area. When I became a PGA apprentice in the 1970’s I was certified in club repair at the PGA club repair school under the direction of Irv Schloss, the innovative Florida PGA pro and club maker.“

EDUCATED PRACTICE
With EDUCATED PRACTICE we use the Launch Monitor swing and club head data as immediate “feedback” in order to correct and perfect your swing faults. It is the fast track to improving your golf swing and your game.
We use the Uneekor Eye XO launch monitor and simulator. This state of the art tech combines 2 high speed overhead cameras with infrared lights that read the ball and club head, providing 25 data points of club and ball information. Additionally, the EyeXO provides both high speed video and a snapshot of actual impact which are invaluable
EDUCATED PRACTICE is a proven fast track to progress in developing a more repeatable and consistent golf swing. Using swing and ball specific data taken from your practice session with our Launch Monitor you will learn how and what to change in your swing motion. Effectively a form of feedback training where through the PURE data generated, you learn faster and institute change more completely simply by learning which of your movements or motions affects the data positively.

EDUCATED PRACTICE vs DRIVING RANGE
A trip to the driving range and the resulting “beating of balls” has long been the accepted form of practice to improve the golf swing. The problem with this is that practice does not make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect. And it is nearly impossible for the average golfer to practice perfectly simply based on observing ball flight.
With the Eye XO and it's Data Points, you learn what the “numbers” mean and how to change them, then your practice becomes far closer to Perfect Practice. Using the Data generated by the Eye XO Launch Monitor and the preparatory instruction that you receive, your practice sessions will yield faster and stronger results.
